Meeting on 17th March Cancelled: Mend it Cafe was a great Success.

Unfortunately we have had to cancel our scheduled evening meeting this coming Friday the17th of March.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our ‘Mend it Cafe’ a couple of weeks ago, thank you to our brilliant and generous team of local menders, we had several electronic’s specialists, two people who were offering to mend and adjust clothes and material items, a two general fixers of a wider range of items, a bike builder and engineer, two massage therapists to help fix aching shoulders and backs.  Thank you also to and those who helped to run the Cafe – Our fantastic team of young helpers!   As well as all of you who came along to support the event with or without your broken items.

We will build on the success and learning of this first ‘Mend It’ event to have more, everyone seemed really enthusiastic about it being a regular happening in the village.
Mend it Cafe So watch this space for more ‘Mend it’ news and plans.

Our next event is a Saturday meet up scheduled for the 15th of April.  I will be in touch to let you know what we have planned for that day.  If you have any ideas or things you would like us to explore please be in touch. Either via the web site or my email sarahmclellan20@gmail.com.

In the mean time please continue to collect your 500ml yogurt pots for our installation and  plastics talking piece,  you can bring them along on the 15th or leave the in the Village Shop in a bag with Sarah written on it and I will collect them up. PLEASE WASH AND STACK them.   Warm wishes for now.  Sarah
