Electronics and small electrical items – such as lamps, radio’s, computers’s, phones,
Clothes or cloth items that need adjustment, mending and patching
Small items of furniture – dining room chairs for example
I wil have my massage chair there and happy to do what I can to mend hurting shoulders.
John Peters is also coming along, he is a mechanic and although you can’t bring your car into the hall, he can advise you on what is fixable?
Obviously we can’t promise anything – this is our first go at running a ‘mend it cafe’ and we will learn from what works and what could be better for the next one. But we can promise – A warm drink, a friendly face, a slice of cake and chats about waste and what we can do to reduce it all available at the Assembly Rooms, St. Briavels, this Saturday 11am – 2pm.
There will be a small charge for refreshments and we are asking for donations for any advice or mending that you receive, to go towards costs incurred for use of materials, travel and so-on for our menders, not to mention room hire and so-on.
